FAQ
Good questions.
What is Stay Hawaii?
A Hawaii-only booking site. Local hosts get featured here, travelers book them directly, and Stay Hawaii takes 0% commission on bookings.
What is Navi CoHost, and how is it different from Stay Hawaii?
They are a collaboration between two products. Stay Hawaii is the marketplace: the site travelers browse and book on. Navi CoHost is the back office: the app where hosts run their rentals with one calendar, bookings, guest messages, and money reports. When you list on Stay Hawaii, you manage everything in Navi CoHost with one login. Guests see Stay Hawaii; hosts work in Navi CoHost.
Is my first property really free?
Yes. Your first property gets its own booking page, a calendar with all your bookings together, and a featured spot on stayhawaii.app for $0. No card required and nothing to cancel. Additional properties are $8/month each.
Does Stay Hawaii take a commission on bookings?
No. Guests book you directly and pay through your own Stripe or PayPal account. 0% commission, ever.
How do payments work?
Guests pay through your own Stripe or PayPal account at checkout, and the money goes straight to you. Stay Hawaii never holds your funds.
Do my Airbnb and VRBO bookings show on my calendar?
Yes. Your Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com calendars connect by calendar feed and refresh regularly through the day, and your direct bookings are recorded the moment they happen, so everything sits on one calendar.
What does Full Navi add for $25/month?
The full back office: guest replies drafted for you (you always hit send), cleaner scheduling and tracking, price suggestions, and money reports. Plus $12/month per additional property. Your first 30 days of Full Navi are free, and if you decide not to keep it, your free listing keeps running.
Who can list on Stay Hawaii?
Hawaii hosts only. A listing needs an island, a Hawaii property address, and a Hawaii GE/TA license before it goes live on stayhawaii.app.
Is booking direct safe for guests?
Checkout runs through Stripe, and hosts with a Verified badge have had their identity and payout details confirmed during payment setup. Have a government ID ready for your trip; your host may ask to see it before or at check-in.
