Stay Hawaii
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This policy explains what information Stay Hawaii ("we," "us") collects when you browse stayhawaii.app or book a stay, and what we do with it. Stay Hawaii is run by the same team that builds Navi CoHost, the software hosts use to manage their rentals, and both run on the same secure infrastructure.
1. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, email, the dates and property you book, guest count, and any messages you exchange with your host.
- Guest account: your email (and a password if you choose to set one), plus the stays you save to your wishlist.
- Payment: handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
- Cookies: essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your saved stays. Analytics and ad-measurement cookies run only if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner.
We never collect or store copies of ID documents. If your host asks to see a government-issued ID, you show it to the host directly.
2. How we use it
- To run your booking: confirmations, receipts, check-in details, and messages between you and your host, sent from our stays@stayhawaii.app address.
- To keep your account working: sign-in, saved stays, and your booking history.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- With your consent, to understand how travelers find and use Stay Hawaii.
3. Who we share it with
- Your host sees your name, contact details, and booking information. They need it to host you.
- Service providers that make the product work: Stripe and PayPal for payments, our email provider for booking emails, and our hosting and database providers.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
4. How long we keep it
We keep booking records as long as we need them for the service, for host and guest records, and to meet legal and tax obligations. If you want your guest account or personal information removed, ask us and we will delete what the law does not require us to keep.
5. Your choices
- Choose "Essential only" on the cookie banner to keep analytics off.
- Ask us anytime to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
- Booking emails are part of the service, but anything promotional always comes with a way to opt out.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. For any privacy question or request, reach us through the contact page.
Also see our Guest Terms for the terms that apply to bookings.
